The Institute’s Thrive Wellbeing Hub, with support from Member Services and the Young Professionals, is delighted to invite members and friends of Chartered Accountants Ireland to ‘Step into your Power’.

This online event will shine a light on the issues and challenges encountered by our members from all walks of life as they navigate their professional and personal lives. With a leading panel of expert speakers offering unique insights and advice, we aim to support and showcase how our members in the business and accountancy profession can harness their potential and step into their power.

We will be joined by the Institute’s Deputy President Sinead Donovan, and attendees will hear from money mindset coach aka Mrs Smart MoneyKel Galavan, change & transformation coach, Niamh Ennis, award-winning image consultant, Maria Macklin and family psychotherapist, Richard Hogan.

Once we hear from the experts, a panel discussion will follow with a selection of our valued members to tease out and debate the key themes of the day.

MEET THE

SPEAKERS

Sinéad Donovan

Sinéad Donovan is the Deputy President of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a financial accounting and advisory services partner at Grant Thornton.

Sinéad joined Grant Thornton in 2002 and was admitted to the partnership in 2005, becoming the first female partner. She is very experienced in co-ordinating international teams, with particular regard to central reporting on multiple jurisdictions in Irish headquarters and/or Shared Service Centres. She works closely with all the major Grant Thornton member firms across the world and manages some of the firm’s largest and complex international projects. Sinéad has extensive knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and a working knowledge of US GAAP.

Sinéad’s client portfolio includes listed companies and mid-corporate clients spanning a range of sectors. She has significant knowledge of the telecoms and technology sector. Sinéad was instrumental in founding the Irish/US Group, which is a permanent department, consisting of an Irish directors based in the US. This link ensures a seamless service offering between the Irish and US firms to relevant clients.

Sinéad is a strong believer in the importance of Inclusion and Diversity to ensure a motivated, effective and equitable workplace.

Kel Galavan

Kel Galavan, otherwise known as Mrs Smart Money, is a money mindset coach, author and QFA. In 2018, Kel penned the sell-out book Mindful Money, developing a powerful coaching formula that has been designed to help others take the stress out of money and build the life they deserve.

By harnessing her experience and financial background, Kel empowers her community of engaged followers with the skills they need to apply the power of mindset and establish simple systems, helping them on the path to financial security, and creating healthy money habits from the inside out rather than the outside in.

Niamh Ennis

Niamh Ennis is a leading Change & Transformation Coach, who through her private practice, writings, programmes, workshops and podcast has inspired and helped thousands of people to make significant changes in their lives.

She is an accredited Personal, Leadership & Executive Coach, Lead Coach in the IMAGE Business Club and a weekly contributor to www.IMAGE.ie; her work has also featured in The Business Post, Irish Country Magazine, The Irish Independent, Newstalk and The Irish Times.

Maria Macklin

Maria Macklin is an award-winning image consultant with House of Colour, one of the world’s leading franchise groups in image for personal brand. As an image consultant, Maria helps people to discover their personal brand and authentic selves by connecting their inner personality to their outward persona.

A regular contributor to TV, radio and print, Maria enables and empowers her clients to feel confident and visually express who they are, so they are seen, heard, and valued, without fear of judgement.

Richard Hogan

Richard Hogan is a systemically trained Family Psychotherapist registered with The Family Therapy Association of Ireland. He is a regular contributor to both TV and Radio. He often features on The Hard Shoulder, Newstalk, The Today Show, and Ireland AM as an expert in the field of human behaviour where he offers his expertise and strategies on how to over-come mental health issues. Richard is also the author of the best-selling book, “Parenting the Screenager, a practical guide for parents of the modern child “.
