Maebh O’Grady

Méabh has over 13 years’ experience working within the area of finance in industry and practice. Méabh is currently a Senior Manager in the Corporate and International Tax team in Deloitte advising companies on M&A and tax compliance related activities. Méabh has a particular focus in foreign direct investment and has a keen interest in the ever-evolving international tax landscape. Méabh has a bachelor’s degree in law and a Masters in Tax, both from the University of Limerick. Méabh is a qualified chartered accountant with Chartered Accountants Ireland and a qualified chartered tax adviser with the Irish Tax Institute.

Finnian O’Sullivan

Finnian is a director with Grant Thornton’s International Tax team. He has extensive experience advising both corporate and private clients. Prior to joining Grant Thornton in 2021, he worked with one of Ireland’s leading specialist tax advisory firms and with a Big 4 firm. He provides tax compliance and advisory services to domestic and international groups of various sizes. He advises clients on numerous matters including foreign direct investment into Ireland, due diligence projects, business sales, business acquisitions, restructurings, Revenue interventions, etc. Finnian works with a diverse range of clients including those in the real estate, medical, technology and FMCG sectors.

Maura Ginty

Maura Ginty set up her own tax advisory firm, Gintax in 2020 – focused on Irish private business, from the startup tech sector to well established family-owned operations.

Prior to starting Gintax, Maura worked for KPMG for over 16 years, from graduate program to director, servicing range of clients from multinationals to family offices.

Morna Canty

Owner, Brass Tax Consultancy

Morna Canty Ahern is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants of Ireland and a Chartered Tax Consultant with over 16 years of experience in accounting and taxation. As owner of the boutique tax consultancy firm, Brass Tax Consultancy she offers advisory and compliance service across a wide range of taxes for both individuals and corporates.  Morna has a master’s in marketing and strategic management and has been working as University Lecturer in Taxation for the past nine years. In this role she is responsible for the creation of courses, academic assessments and educational standards. Morna has been a member of Academic Council and Quality and Assurance Committee. She is committed to high quality tax education and enjoys working closely with professional bodies to deliver high quality programmes.  Morna regularly features on CPD course, delivering tax updates and training in specialised areas. Morna is programme director and lead educational consultant for our inhouse Diploma in Taxation and Chartered Tax Consultant programme, working on design, development and content. In edition she is technical editor on several tax publications across the Diploma and CTC course as well as at CAP2 level. In addition, she holds a number of educational specialist qualifications in academic practice, assessment strategy and design as well and online& blended learning for engagement.

Conor Kennedy is a practising Barrister and Chartered Tax Adviser and a former Tax Appeals Commissioner having presided over tax disputes valued in excess of €2.5 billion. Conor is now with EY Law Ireland responsible for Tax Strategy and Disputes.

Dr. Stephen Daly

Dr. Stephen Daly

Reader in Tax Law, King’s College London

Dr Stephen Daly is a Reader in Tax Law at King’s College London and a visiting lecturer at Imperial College London. He is a graduate of University College Cork, University College London and the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the rules governing tax administration, the relationship between taxation and anti-subsidy rules, and the role tax plays in shaping society.

Gearoid O Sullivan

Chartered Accountants Ireland

Gearóid is Tax Manager at Chartered Accountants Ireland. He has previously worked for PwC and KPMG and specialises in business taxes. As part of his work representing the Institute on tax matters, he sits on the Main Tax Administration Liaison Committee (Main TALC) as well as the TALC Direct and Capital Taxes Sub-committee and the TALC Indirect Taxes Sub-committee.
