Tom Penman (Bakertilly MM) specialises in complex tax planning, structuring groups of companies, international tax including transfer pricing, enquiries, providing tax efficient succession and inheritance tax planning and deal with all aspects of income tax, corporation tax and capital gains tax.Tom is very experienced in handling all types of HMRC enquiries including representing clients at Tax Tribunal and was previously an officer in charge at a large Scottish tax office and regularly lecture on tax as well as writes professional articles and carry out bespoke tax training
Shirley Blair (A&L Goodbody) is a senior employment lawyer with substantial client advisory and litigation experience. She specialises in advising on defending complex Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunal claims, High Court claims (with restrictive covenant advice being a recognised specialism) and SENDIST Tribunal matters. She regularly advises on redundancy restructuring and the management / dismissal of senior executives. Shirley is a qualified Solicitor Advocate with Higher Rights of Audience. She is the NI Contributory author of the book Professional Secrecy of Lawyers in Europe. Shirley is the NICC representative on the NI Employment Roundtable, a confederation of the NICC, IoD, FSB and NI Unions. She is also the NI representative for ELA, the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
